Terms and Conditions of Madrasah Policy

Madrasah timings

The madrasah is open on

Weekends

Saturdays and Sundays from 9am – 12noon(pm)

Weekdays

Monday & Wednesday from 5pm – 8pm

Tuesday & Thursday from 5pm – 8pm

Assembly is from 9am – 9:15(weekend) and 5pm - 5.15pm (weekday). Classes begin straight after assembly.

School Fees

· Fees must be paid within the first week of the calendar month by bank transfer (preferable) or cash

· Two months of fees are to be paid at a time.

· Fees should be paid and submitted with the payment slip.

· Fees are still payable in the event of the children being absent.

The fees are as follows:

Weekend

· One child: £ 30 per calendar month

Weekday

· One child: £ 30 per calendar month

Attendance

· Students must be punctual and attend all lessons, including the assembly. Failing to do so will put them at a disadvantage and hence, they will fall behind which will inevitably jeopardise their progress.

· Teachers should be informed of any planned absences in advance. Also if the child is absent unexpectedly then the teacher should be informed as to the reason for this.

· Continuous lateness or absences without a reasonable explanation will result in the child’s place being lost at the madrasah.

· Two weeks’ notice in advance should be given if parents/guardians decide to withdraw their children from the madrasah.

Study materials

Students are required to bring the following equipment with them to the madrasah: mus-haf, qaa’idah book, exercise book, homework diary and pencil case.

Students must look after their belongings and keep them in good condition.

If students lose their equipment then parents/guardians must replace them at the following cost:

Mus-haf: £3

Homework diary: £2

Qaaidah book: £4

Exercise book: £1

Snacks

Students are ONLY allowed to bring fruit and water. Other food and drink will be confiscated and returned at home time. This is to encourage the students to eat healthily and to aid their concentration in-shaa ‘Allaah.

Mobile Phones

Students are not allowed to use mobile phones during the madrasah. If parents/guardians need to contact their children they must inform the teachers or headteacher beforehand.

Dress code

· Boys: thobes should be above the ankles, kufi/Islamic hat, and book bag.

· Girls: hijaab - non-revealing abaayah and headscarf, book bag.

· Please note all bags, pencil cases and clothing must not have any images.

· Wearing neat and clean clothes.

Madrasah Rules

· Students must adhere to the rules of the madrasah.

· Only the best speech should be used whilst attending the madrasah.

· Being polite and respectful to everyone in the madrasah .

· To be kind and helpful to each other and achieve the best results.

· No shouting or raised voices.

· Seeking permission to leave the classroom.

· Being silent and not interrupt as it is respectful to the teacher.

· Moving quietly and calmly and not disturb others.

· Bullying is not acceptable and will not be tolerated at all.

· All classwork and homework must be completed on time and to a high standard.

Masjid Etiquettes

· Students should learn and recite the dua upon entering and leaving the masjid.

· Pray two rakats upon entering the masjid.

· Students should keep the masjid clean and tidy at all times.
