Click Here To Listen: Steadfastness By Abu Idrees & Abu Hakeem
Two powerful and timely lectures delivered by our noble brothers, Abū Ḥakīm Bilāl and Abū Idrīs Muḥammad at Masjid us sunnah (London), on Friday 13th April 2018.
Indeed, remaining steadfast is not an easy affair regardless of how many years we have been practising the religion or how many years we’ve been upon the salafi methodology; we are all in need of guidance and steadfastness.
Ibn al-Qayyim said: “I heard my shaykh, Ibn Taymiyyah saying, ‘the greatest of wonders is that a person is constantly upon steadfastness.'”
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb said describing those upon istiqāmah, “they are firm upon the command of Allāh and they do not swerve away from that like the swerving of a fox.”
ʿUthmān ibn Affān: “Istiqāmah is to be sincere..”
Ibn ʿAbbās: “Istiqāmah is that you fulfil the obligations..”
Ḥassan al Baṣrī: “You should be firm and upright upon the commands of Allāh and keep away from sins.”
Al-Istiqāmah is living in a manner that is pleasing to Allāh, living a firm life, steadfast upon the truth! If you’re not steadfast upon the truth, you will be a loser in both this world and the next!
